Fernand Demaret

Inspired by the pre-Columbian civilisation, Demaret describes his jewellery as unusual and non-conformist.

From 1961, and for approximately ten years, he will form the « Demaret workshop ». This association gathers André Lamy, Claude Wesel and later Bernard François as well as Michel Louette, Jean Pierre Laloux and many others great jewellers.

His hallmark represents a pre-Columbian totem copied from the one in the Bogota museum. At the request of his clients, from 1965 onwards, he added his own signature.

With a very recognisable style, Demaret used yellow gold, baroque pearls, opal and South Sea pearls.
