Launched in 1988, the "Boucheron Femme" fragrance was associated with a jewelled bottle topped with a ring worked around a sapphire-blue cabochon, which contributed to its success. The draped bottle was so successful that customers flocked to the Place Vendôme to buy the jewelled version. The piece, which did not exist at the time, would later be created to satisfy their desires. Inspired by Louis Boucheron's trip to India in the 1920s, this "Jaipur" ring continues to be one of the creations that has marked the image of the House.
